WHO: The Parenting Education Coaltion is an organization of local professionals engaged in parenting education and representatives from local social service agencies interested in parenting education as it relates to the needs of the families they serve.

WHAT: The Family Partnership Center manages the Coalition and organizes numerous professional development workshops throughout the year to train members in specific knowledge and/or update their skills with regard to parenting education. The Center also maintains and distributes an annual Service Directory that identifies service providers, programs, and eligibility criteria.

Coalition members share information about current service programs, identify needs within the community, and collaborate to provide a variety of on-going social service programs for parents in Manatee County. The Coalition is in the process of building a professional library of education resources, collateral materials, and curriculum, all of which will be available on loan to members.

WHEN: The Parenting Education Coalition meets the 1st Wednesday of each month, except for July, August, and December, from 8:30 am-10:00 am.

WHERE: Project Child Care Meeting Room #317, 399 6th Ave. W., Bradenton, FL
